# What you need:
→ Pork
01 - 3 lb boneless pork shoulder or pork loin roast, trimmed
→ Honey Garlic Sauce
02 - 1/2 cup honey
03 - 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce (gluten-free if required)
04 - 1/4 cup chicken broth
05 - 2 tbsp olive oil
06 - 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
07 - 6 cloves garlic, minced
08 - 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated (optional)
09 - 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
→ Vegetables
10 - 1 large onion, sliced
11 - 3 large carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
12 - 2 stalks celery, cut into chunks
→ Garnish (optional)
13 - 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
14 - 1 tbsp sesame seeds
# How to make it:
01 - Arrange sliced onion, carrots, and celery in the base of the slow cooker.
02 - Pat pork roast dry with paper towels and lightly season with salt and pepper.
03 - Whisk honey, soy sauce, chicken broth, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper together in a medium bowl.
04 - Place pork roast atop vegetables in slow cooker. Pour honey garlic sauce evenly over meat. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours until pork is fork-tender.
05 - Transfer pork to a cutting board and let rest for 10 minutes. Slice or shred according to preference.
06 - Skim excess fat from the sauce in the slow cooker. Optionally, pour sauce into a saucepan and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes to reduce and thicken slightly.
07 - Serve pork with vegetables, spoon honey garlic sauce over top, and garnish with parsley and sesame seeds if desired.
