# How to make it:

- Set the oven to 400°F and line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or foil.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef, breaking up lumps, until browned, approximately 5 minutes.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet; cook for 2 to 3 minutes until softened.
- Incorporate chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Pour in water and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until liquid mostly evaporates. Remove from heat.
- Evenly spread tortilla chips across the prepared sheet pan. Distribute seasoned beef over chips, then layer black beans and top with shredded cheese.
- Place the pan in the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Remove nachos from oven and immediately scatter diced tomato, pickled jalapeños, sliced black olives, green onions, cilantro, and diced avocado if desired.
- Drizzle sour cream on top or serve on the side, and serve hot directly from the pan.
